A long-time valley favorite, Fenestra Winery was launched by Lanny Replogle, a San Jose State chemistry professor, and his wife Fran. in 1976, on the site of the historic Ruby Hill/Stony Ridge Winery, which dates back to the 1800s. Back in the 70s there were only a handful of wineries in the valley; Fenestra became the first “boutique” winery in the area. It specializes in “classically balanced” award-winning wines made from Livermore Valley grapes.
Wines: Specialty blended wines, Pinot Grigion, Riesling, Rosé, Mourvedre, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Port, among others.
Tasting Room: Open Friday–Sunday, 12-5 p.m.
A charming tasting room featuring wine aging in barrels. A creek and vineyards edge a shaded picnic area. |
